I decided to juice fresh cranberries because I wanted to taste and experience the difference between fresh vs. packaged. The cranberry apple juice I made taste totally different from the typical bottle or can of cranberry juice on your grocery store aisle shelf. You will enjoy the fresh taste of freshly prepared cranberry apple juice.
As a child, I grew up knowing cranberry juice prevents and heals urinary tract infection. What I did not know is the fruit is an excellent source of vitamin C, manganese and copper. If you are accustomed to the taste of sugar sweetened cranberry juice, here is a healthy alternative to the juices in bottles or cans. The difference, fresh pressed cranberry juice has all the natural nutrients intact because it was not processed and is much tastier. Cranberries are extremely tart and best combined with other fruit such as apples, pears or oranges. If this recipe is too tart, juice an additional apple, I enjoy a slight tart to the juice. Enjoy!~
Cranberry Apple Juice
