Watermelon is so refreshingly satisfying and packed with plenty of nutrients to revitalize the body. The recipe I will be sharing with you has a nice mellow zing to it from the kiwi fruit, the flavor enhances the watermelon.

I love watermelon one of my favorite fruits, and I enjoy eating and juicing a watermelon during the warm months for the taste and cooling effect. Watermelon is excellent at cleansing the kidney and bladder as the diuretic components help to eliminate toxins and excess fluid retention from the body. The fruit consists of 92% water, making this an excellent diuretic for reducing water retention, kidney disorder, bladder disorder, constipation and enhancing weight loss. However, most of the nutrition is in the rind. Therefore, you must juice the rind to receive the mineral and chlorophyll content.

When you combine kiwi fruit to the juice you’re adding an additional amount of vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E, magnesium, potassium, and copper, needed to create energy. If you choose to eat and/or juice kiwi fruit regularly, you’re less likely to have respiratory-related health problems including wheezing, night cough and shortness of breath according to The Encyclopedia of Healing Foods .  Enjoy!

Recipe: Yields approximately 60 ozs.

1/4 of a medium watermelon including rind

2.5 kiwi fruit

Alternate the fruit through the juicer, stir and enjoy!
